Where is Lago di Piediluco?
Located at the south-eastern foothills of Umbria, with a branch that crosses into Lazio, Lake Piediluco is the largest natural lake basin of Umbria after the Lake Trasimeno.
The little hamlet that is on this lake is called Piediluco. It's a picturesque and fascinating little village, surrounded by the nature of the lake.
Walking down to this little village you can enjoy the magic of it. The Via Panoramica that is definitely a wonderful place to photograph the lake. The beauty of the village lying on the lake is really postcard.

The origins of Piediluco date back to the Iron Age. The area was inhabited even before the Romans. And it has been the subject of battles and contentions over the centuries. It was precisely the Romans who 'wrested' the territory to the dominion of the Sabines, in the third century BC.
Then, with the advent of Christianity and the conflicts that characterize our history from the Middle Ages to the Risorgimento, Piediluco changed to various noble families in central Italy.
